Summary

This project provides a complete automatic packaging solution for FIJI KAVA powder, covering bag sizes from 100×145 mm to 240×330 mm and weights from 50 g to 1000 g. The line integrates an auger filler, dust control system, and a horizontal doypack machine with zipper opening, grip seal, bag tapping and date printing, achieving stable, clean and efficient production at 10–18 bags per minute.

Customer Challenge

FIJI KAVA powder is a fine, light and dusty powder, which is easy to stick to the hopper and escape from the zipper area during filling. The customer required stable weighing accuracy, clean sealing, automatic zipper opening/closing, and a complete dust-free packaging process for medium speed production.

Key Functions of the Horizontal Packing Machine

1. Pneumatic Hopper Shaker

Installed on the filling hopper to prevent powder from sticking to the wall, ensuring smooth and stable feeding.

2. Automatic Zipper Opener

Precisely opens the zipper before filling, guaranteeing smooth powder filling into the bag.

3. Zipper Closing Device

Automatically closes the zipper before final heat sealing to ensure perfect package integrity.

4. Hot Ribbon Date Printer

Prints production date and batch code, maximum 2 lines, 11 characters per line, clear and durable.

5. Grip Seal Protection

Special grip seal structure prevents powder from escaping during filling, keeping the zipper area clean.

6. Bag Tapper Device

Taps the bag during filling so the powder settles evenly, improving filling accuracy and sealing quality.

Result

After installation and commissioning, the line achieved stable operation at 10–18 bags per minute with high accuracy and clean sealing. The dust collector effectively reduced powder leakage, and the zipper function worked reliably for all bag sizes from 50 g to 1 kg.

This customized solution successfully helped the customer improve production efficiency, reduce material loss, and ensure premium packaging quality for their FIJI KAVA powder products.
